2019

Year in Review

2019 was good to us. Brian has been really successful this year. I received a promotion at work and have grown exponentially on a new career path. Parx is the best kid and the highlight of every day. Meese is alive. It’s just been really, really good. Sometimes it just feels good to look back and remember how far we have come.

January

Parx’s First Road Trip

In January we took an impromptu road trip to visit friends in North Florida for the weekend. It was so fun to catch up with my sorority sisters and be in such a beautiful place together. Plus Parx got to meet everyone!

February

Started a New Gig

Right after the new year, I stepped into a new role in HR that would turn out to be a great new challenge. It’s been a blast making new friends and I wouldn’t call it a blast, but it’s been really cool to create/update some processes with the firm.

I’ve really been thankful that I work for PwC these last three years, but have definitely found my career path within the HR Shared Services Center.

March

Another Year Vlogging the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleading Tryouts

I’m definitely a washed up NFL Cheerleader at this point. I’ve been so lucky that the Bucs have brought me back the last two seasons to vlog behind the scenes of cheerleading tryouts. It’s always fun to see my friends and still feel like I am apart of the fun.

April

Chopped It Off

Finally admitted to myself that my hair was damaged beyond fixing so I chopped off like 12 inches and said, “BYE FELICIA”. Now I can start fresh and let it grow through this pregnancy. I miss my long hair though and can’t wait for it to be back.

May

Parx Turns One!

In May, we celebrated Parx’s first birthday by getting his first haircut and throwing a rager that included chicken nuggets and peacocks cupcakes.

I am so proud of this little nugget and what a gentle soul he is.

July

Beach Days

Every year Brian’s extended family meets for two weeks on Anna Maria to enjoy the beach and each other’s company. It’s such a wonderful tradition that keeps all of us close. It was such a joy to take Parx for the first time and spend two full weeks just enjoying family and fun.

Parx also started at a new daycare where he has excelled at learning to how to eat with a fork and making new friends :)

August

Lake Chatuge Trip

Only a few weeks after we moved home from the beach, we took another trip with friends to North Georgia. I finally learned how to waterski and Parx had a blast hanging out with the other kiddos.

September

Baby on Board

PARX’S BESTIE COMING IN HOT! In September we found out we were pregnant with Baby Peacock #2. I laid pretty low for the next few months as I was so sick, but still very, very excited for the new addition to our family.

October

My Little Rooster

Here’s Parx with his cousin celebrating Halloween. When we came home that night, we discovered he had broken out in a rash. I originally blamed it on the heat and wearing this furry outfit. Unfortunately it turned out to be Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease. I’ll spare you the ugly details (trust, they were ugly) and he made a full recovery in about a week.

I still think Parx will never wear a furry suit again though because it is just too hot in Florida.

November

COMING APRIL 2020

We finally got to announce the great news about Baby Peacock in November. I laid in bed most of the rest of the month lol.

December

Christmas2019

Big Kid Christmas

How did this kid get so big? I know it’s a cliché you hear from moms a lot, but man, I am really feeling it lately.

Parx has been dying to have a big boy bike of his own ever since his cousin learned how to ride his without training wheels. So for Christmas, we got him a balance bike of his very own.

His little toes are still just barely grazing the ground and he’s already taken a few too many falls for my liking because of it, but seriously, does not give up. I just can’t get over him and am obsessed and am sorry for everyone in the new year who will be bombarded with photos of me talking about how much I love my kid.

So you may have noticed I skipped June. Well, Parx was sick basically the whole month so we’re just going to scratch that from our memories honestly. It’s been such a wonderful year of growth. I would love to see anything of the moments you’re proud or things that made you laugh in 2019. Not all years are going to be the best year of your life, but there’s always a little something to be proud of.
