BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS 2015 FAVORITES

A friend of mine and I were laughing yesterday while watching the Billaboard Music Awards. She had mentioned on Facebook that the BBMAs were like the dry salad of awards shows. I disagreed saying that it was more like a soggy salad. Maybe even a soggy salad from yesterday that you shouldn't have taken home in a to-go box. Luckily, there's still always what people are wearing to keep the dream of it being fun alive. And also T. Swift making out with Calvin Harris... GO GIRL!

BRYSHERE Y. GRAY in AN AWESOME SUIT

Bryshere is one of the break-out stars of Empire and I can totally tell why. I am loving this textured suit on the red carpet. I love that it's exciting and fun. Very memorable.

KYLIE JENNER in BALMAIN

I know that Kylie is like a reincarnation of Kim. They've obviously (allegedly) used the same surgeon because their faces have just become more and more similar. But I can't help but love her style. Balmain is one of my favorite deisgners. There were a number of other stars on the red carpet wearing Balmain including T. Swift, Lily Alderidge and Kylie's sis, Kendall. I think Kylie looks amazing. Keep doin' you girl.

MARTHA HUNT in A PURPLE DRESS

I feel like this dress is Stella McCartney, but I am not 100% sure. That's why I went with her just being in a purple dress. Luckily, it's an awesome purple dress. I've definitely seen this style a lot because the skin colored colorblocks are so flattering. It's an optical illusion that wittles down the waist like no other. I totally get why this is a frequently chosen silhouette.

OLIVIA CULPO in ELIE SAAB & NICK JONAS in KENZO

Cute couple, but the standout of this pairing is that GD romper. I need that sparkly thing in my life. Immediately. Shut up and take my money. Also, love the purple suit Nick. He rocked a yellow plaid one that I also loved pretty recently. He's kind of knocking it out of the park.

RENEE BARGH in A SLEEK SUIT

I should have probably done a quick Google search and figured out exactly who Ms. Bargh is, but I feel like that ruins the fun. I'm just going to keep it a mystery and just love on her menswear inspired look. If I were to wear a suit ever, this is how I would do. This is probably why I've never had an office job.

TAYLOR SWIFT in BALMAIN

I love when T. Swift slathers on the sex appeal. I've been eyeing this little number from Balmain ever since it showed up on the Spring 2015 runway. It's hard to tell from this images, but it's full beaded and super sparkly in real life. So stinkin' pretty. I'm super jelly Swift. Also "Bad Blood" has been my fav song off of the most recent album. Glad to see it has an epic video to go along with.

Zendaya Billboard Music Awards 2015

ZENDAYA in FAUSTO PUGLISI

Mismatchiness is my favorite. I love when people pull off an awesome print on print situation. There's some serious sea urchin-ness sewn onto this thing and I still love it. So fun.

HAPPY MONDAY Y'ALL! MUCH LOVE, LINDSEY

Favorites from the Oscars Red Carpet 2015

Scarlett Johansson in Versace

More than anything, I love this color. There was so much white and red, it was refreshing to see a little evergreen on the carpet.

avorites from the Oscars Red Carpet 2015

Neil Patrick Harris in Brunello Cucinelli

NPH's suits for this whole show were epic. My favorite is this grey one he wore on the red carpet with his hubs. I want this for Danny so much. Plus, look at this great couple. So handsome.

Favorites from the Oscars Red Carpet 2015

Lupita Nyong'o in Calvin Klein

Lupita, Lupita, Lupita... how you pull at my heartstrings with your wild fashion red carpet choices! The pearls are gorgeous. My mom commented that it didn't fit quite well, but c'mon, it's made for her! It doesn't have to be perfectly formfitting. I think she looks great!

Favorites from the Oscars Red Carpet 2015

Kevin Hart in Lanvin

I love Kevin Hart and I'm happy to see him gain more success each year. Plus I love the black on ivory mixx of his tux. Very rock star-ish.

Favorites from the Oscars Red Carpet 2015

Jennifer Lopez in Elie Saab

Gosh is this woman beautiful. She's stunning. Just wow.

Favorites from the Oscars Red Carpet 2015

Gwyenth Paltrow in Ralph & Russo

This pink column dress is a little reminiscent of the Oscar gown Gwyneth wore when she won her Oscar for Shakespeare in Love. I love the shoulder detail.

Favorites from the Oscars Red Carpet 2015

Emma Stone in Elie Saab

I love, love, love this color on Emma. If I wore this I would look sick, but with her skintone and lovely red hair she really knocks it out of the park. It's like I said about Scar Jo, this year there was so much white and red, it's a breath of fresh air to see some other colors on the carpet.

Favorites from the Oscars Red Carpet 2015

Eddie Redmayne in Alexander McQueen

I think Eddie Redmayne is such a sexy guy. It's the whole boy next door thing, but times a million. Boyish smile, frecks... He's just gorgeous. But more than him, McQueen is hands down my favorite designer. I've been a huge fan of his work since I was really young and was deeply saddened when he passed when I was just a teen. I love how Brits represent him so well still. Even Kate Middleton got married in a McQueen. I know it is mostly because of the beauty Sarah Burton has kept in the line, but I also like to think it's an homage to their countrymen. Great choice Eddie!

Favorites from the Oscars Red Carpet 2015

David Oyelowo in Dolce and Gabbana

Love the red on red. This is bold and fun. I've loved all the guys trying out new looks and stepping out of the black and white tuxes into something more fun. Usually my lists are all about the girls, but I had a hard time not doing a whole list of dudes!!!

Favorites from the Oscars Red Carpet 2015

Chrissy Teigen in Zuhair Murad

Chrissy Teigen is such a beautiful person. I know she's a model and she could basically wear a potato sack and still look stunning, but I always love her fashion choices. I like to believe that I would wear what she wears if I had the chance.

Favorites from the Oscars Red Carpet 2015

Chris Pratt in Tom Ford

Just because eye candy...

Favorites from the Oscars Red Carpet 2015

Rita Ora in Marchesa

And last, but definitely not least... the apple of my red carpet eye... Miss Ora. During my Grammy's post I wanted her to keep the hair and I am happy to see she took my advice :) She looks amazing, as per usual. She gravitates towards mermaid gowns on the red carpet and makes them memorable by adding embellishments, like this one, or color, like her Grammy's dress. It's something to say when you know what works for you. Love it Rita!

Who was your favorite?

My Favorites from The Grammys 2015!!!

The Grammy Awards

The Grammys, arguably my favorite awards show red carpet, happened last night, and I was not disappointed by the fashion turnout! The Grammys are a chance for stars to push the envelope. It's black tie, but not too fussy (like the Oscars). Everyone can have fun, and have fun they did. Let's check out my faves!

GRAMMYS BEST DRESSED

SAM SMITH in ARMANI

It's no secret that I love Sam. His voice lights up my soul. In my eyes, there is no one more deserving of the credit he received last night. He was wearing Armani, but looked great decked out with his new gold accessories!

GRAMMYS BEST DRESSED

TAYLOR SWIFT in ELIE SAAB

I am a reformed Taylor Hater. I always thought she wasn't coming through as sincere and that she was putting on a bit of an act. But with the release of her newest album, I believe she has revealed her true self to the world. I like her sassiness so much more than her put-on innocence. I also love her new found sex appeal. She used to just be a sparkly, column gown kind of girl, but lately (think her little romper from the VMA's), she's been rocking some super awesome frocks. This little ombre gown-y dress thing is no different. The best part: the awesome magenta heels to boot. Kill 'em Tay.

GRAMMYS BEST DRESSED

USHER

I don't usually give a lot of love to the boys at these things, but last night I even saw some guys pushing the envelope in a good way. Usher went totally monochromatic and without a traditional tie or bowtie and I love it. Man broaches are my new favorite accessory for dudes.

GRAMMYS BEST DRESSED

RITA ORA in PRADA

Bring on the disco ball jokes! I love the cut and the way this dress makes her stand out in the crowd, but it's not my favorite. What I love most about her last night, was THAT HAIR! She looks amazing. I hope she sticks with this look for a minute because she can rock it like no other.

GRAMMYS BEST DRESSED

PHARRELL in ADIDAS

Just a year ago, Pharrell was taking the red carpet in that ridiculous hat. How would he outdo that? What could be crazier than a hat bigger than him? Luckily, he took it to the next level, but in a much more sophisticated way. I like the shorts suit. I'm feelin' it. What's even cooler, is that he's promoting his line with Adidas. A line, that reflects light, say from a camera flash, to look different than in natural light. The suit is ivory here, but in person (or without a flash) was grey. A cool way to have a little fun with the paps.

GRAMMYS BEST DRESSED

KIM K in JEAN PAUL GAULTIER

Oh Kimmy. Even a sparkly bathrobe looks great on you. Check out them shoulder pads tho! Gaultier's team probably did 75 hours of stitching work on this thing. Insane.

GRAMMYS BEST DRESSED

NICK JONAS in VERSACE

Little Nick is all grown up and looking sexy in this plaid suit. Love the yellow details and being tieless. If only he got the man broach memo from Usher...

GRAMMYS BEST DRESSED

KATY PERRY in ZUHAIR MURAD

This is beautiful. Just like Kim K's, the craftsmanship on this dress is incredible. It's hard to tell here, but on the runway, this little number was completely sheer. I am sure they added some coverage for Katy, but probably not much. Love the lavender hair on her too.

GRAMMYS BEST DRESSED

JHÉNE AIKO in ALBERTA FERRETTI

This little nugget is adorable. She has to be about to blow-up because she is starting to show up everywhere. I had her on my AMAs Favorites List too! I am all about neutrals usually, so this is a no-brainer gown for me. The fluffy bodice looks great on her too!

GRAMMYS BEST DRESSED

CIARA in ALEXANDRE VAUTHIER

Speaking of fluffiness, Ciara looked beautiful in this Vauthier creation. The train is my favorite part!

GRAMMYS BEST DRESSED

BEYONCE in PROENZE SCHOULER

Of course I love Beyonce. She can do no wrong in my eyes. My favorite part is her long extensions. She looks comfortable, natural and beyond beautiful. I also loved her rings.

beyoncerings

Such a fun little collection of pieces. The green stones are to die for!

GRAMMYS BEST DRESSED

RIHANNA in GIAMBATTISTA VALLI

And the absolute star of the Grammys last night was Miss Rih. This is how to make a statement. It's also a testament to the fact that she is one of the only people in the world who can wear ANYTHING and always look fabulous. Would I ever wear this dress? No. Does that matter to me right now? No. She is a superstar.

What were your faves? Tweet me (@lindseybell)!

Much Love, Lindsey

My Favorites from the Golden Globes Red Carpet 2015

I love awards season! It's fun for me to watch all the beautiful dresses walking down the red carpet and see how they are styled. The Golden Globes is specifically fun because people are a little more relaxed than the Oscars. They dress up if they want or try something new fun. It just depends on how they feel the week before, I think. Here's some of my favorites: Chrissy Teigen in Zuhair Murad

My Favorites from the Golden Globes Red Carpet 2015

I just adore Chrissy Teigen because she's the cutest stinking thing on the planet, but she freaking kills it in this lacy number. Beauiful, sleek ponytail, minimal makeup to highlight her eyes... It's all good. The color brings out the best in her skintone. It's just uh, to die for. Obviously she's a dang supermodel, but she's doing it right. (I also really love that her cry face from when John Legend won an award is going viral. It's pretty hilarious.)

Dakota Johnson in Chanel

My Favorites from the Golden Globes Red Carpet 2015

It's very fitting that Dakota, star of the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey, is wearing about a million shades of sparkly grey on the red carpet. The best part about this dress is the sparkly train the is gliding along behind her. Reminds me of a mermaid and I obviously love mermaids. The contrasting top of the dress is a lovely touch that keeps it feminine, but still sexy. The only I'm a little meh about is her center parted bangs, but I think that her hair is a huge part of her look for the Fifty Shades press tour and craziness to start around the premiere. She has to keep it demure, but sexy, but innocent, but independent until she gets through with everything. It just seems very staged for publicity, but in a good way.

Emma Stone in Lanvin

My Favorites from the Golden Globes Red Carpet 2015

Both Emma and Lorde rocked jumpsuits to the awards show and I love that! This is the show to do something fun and out of the box. Emma's has a little bow train, which I think fits her personality. What really sticks out with Emma though, is her spot on hair and makeup. It's hard to get a lipstick shade to be that amazing with your skintone and hair color. Whoever does her makeup should get a raise. I bet she takes care of her people well though. She just seems like an appreciative gal.

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad

My Favorites from the Golden Globes Red Carpet 2015

Another Murad makes the list. There's just something so spectacular about making a cape dress work. Also, JLo is 45!!! That's unbelievable. She looks amazing. So, so, so great.

Kate Hudson in Versace

My Favorites from the Golden Globes Red Carpet 2015

I feel like every awards show I always love at least one Versace dress. The last post I did included Khloe K in an awesome little black dress by the designer. This one is another knockout. It's super sexy and Kate looks amazing. Keeping her in a minimal low bun was a good choice. Let her boobs be the spotlight (hehe)!

Matt Bomer in Ralph Lauren Black Label

My Favorites from the Golden Globes Red Carpet 2015

I always have to find one guy who really shines on the red carpet. This time it's Matt in this awesome navy blue colored suit with black trim. It's fun when men step out of the box a little with their suits. Obviously a tux is a tux and that's kind of the only thing guys can get away with, but choosing a different color and trimmings really makes a difference. Loving the white pocket square.

Sienna Miller in Miu Miu

My Favorites from the Golden Globes Red Carpet 2015She looks adorable. I know this is supposed to be sexy because of the low cut neckline, but I can't help but think that it is just so stinkin' cute on her. There's also some amazing craftsmanship on this dress. The beading is beautiful and probably done by hand. Beyond the dress, her hair is in the best little bob, her smile is contagious and her jewelry minimal. Beautiful.

It's been a fun night checking it all out. Which were your favorites?

Much Love Y'all, Linds

Best Look from the AMAs 2014

Last night the AMAs took to the airwaves to provide a little musical entertainment for our Sunday night. I think most of the performances were largely underwhelming, but at least there were some fashion stand-outs to applaud! Here's some of my favorites: JheneAikoAMAs

Jhene´ Aiko in Alice and Olivia

There's something about this dress that I love. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I am drawn to it. It might be because it's different than what everyone else had on, or that it's Alice and Olivia (a line that I have loved, but never owned a piece of personally) that makes me attracted to it. I've heard a lot about this new R&B breakout singer in the last week too. In the fashion world, she's done a holiday spread for Revolve Clothing, one of my favorite online shops. It's the perfect storm of interest. She's pulled me in.

Julianne-HoughAMAs

Julianne Hough in Zuhair Murad

I can't deny my love for coral-y orange. It's my favorite color to wear. I also love how simple this dress is, but still sexy and dazzling. This is what I would wear on a red carpet guaranteed.

KardashianJennersAMAs

The Kardashian/Jenner Clan in Yigal Azrouel (on Kendall), Versace (on Khloe) and Alexandre Vauthier (on Kylie)

It's pretty easy to tell that these ladies own a retail store, have stylists in their family and keep up with what's going on in fashion. I always love what they're wearing, even if they themselves drive me nuts. I know that Kendall is a professional model and models look great in just about anything, but I love her mesh dress. Khloe looks amazing and Kylie's shoes are to die for. I read on some fashion blogs about how they thought Kylie's dress was a little sexual for a 17 year old to be running around in, but let's face it... Kylie isn't a normal 17 year old. I mean she dates a 25 year old rapper and had plastic surgery (allegedly) already. Either way, I think she and they look great.

Rita-OraAMAsRita Ora in Zac Posen

I love the bold statements that Rita always makes with her pieces! I am a huge fan of staying true to your style and edginess of your personality. Rita always rings true. I've seen mixed reviews of this dress across other sites. I think you either love it or hate it. One blogger wrote that the train would be hard to deal with. Have you never seen Zac Posen's dresses? To be anointed the honor to wear one on the red carpet, you must first prove you can handle all the fabric! I don't actually know if that's true, but sometimes with fashion comes pain or annoyance, but in this case, the beauty of the final product is completely worth it.

Much Love,

Linds
