Our Night Out in Vegas!

Vegas Night LookWe've been in Vegas for two nights now and have been having such a blast! We took last night as a chance to really dress up and I took full advantage. I pumped up my look by using my gambling winnings to take a little trip to Sephora.

Ardell Lash Multipack

To make my eyes pop, I wore some serious faux lashes (See them here: Ardell Multipack Demi Wispies Fake Eyelashes, $12). I've been wearing lashes more frequently and finally feel like I have the hang of putting them on. I used to wear them for dance competitions when I was younger, but the ones I wear now look more natural and really bring out my smaller eyes, which tend to be eclipsed by my nose sometimes. It's weird the things you start to notice with your face and how easy it is to find products to bring out the things you love (brows, lips and eyes on me) and tone down the things you don't love so much (my nose). If you want to try out lashes don't forget to get the water soluble glue (Here's what I use: Duo Lash Adhesive, Clear, 0.25 Ounce, $3.99 ). Don't make the mistake of getting the super sticky stuff and accidentally gluing your eyelids together. I've done it. Not fun.

fresh sugar lip treatment cherry

I also splurged a little and finally bought one of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments. I am dying in the dry desert air, Florida humidity does me well. My lips would probably fall off if I didn't keep something on them. I like that it also adds a little color. I didn't want to wear a full red lip while wearing the cray cray lashes. I've always heard to choose one part of your face to really stand out. Less is more. (Check it out here: Fresh Sugar CHERRY Tinted Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 (FULL SIZE) .15 oz. $22)

I love dressing up and have totally taken advantage of the Vegas scene to take it to the next level. I've been posting some to Instagram, but to see all the craziness, follow me on Snapchat: @lindseybellbell. And if you want to see all of the things I love, I always add everything I talk about to my Amazon Wish List. More from Vegas soon.

Much Love, Lindsey

New Year, New Beauty Routine: MAKEUP

Lindsey Brooks Bell

It's the last day of my new beauty routine posts. It's been so fun talking about all my new additions to my routine and I've loved talking to you all on Twitter about your opinions on the subject. Today is my favorite day and definitely going to be the longest because I am always on the look out for a new makeup to try. Before I get started, I want to know more about your all time favorite beauty products or some new ones I'm missing out on! Tell me in the comments or tweet me (@lindseybell)! Alright, let's get started!

New Year, New Beauty Routine: MAKEUP

Get It: Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation - Cream Ivory, $47

I spoke yesterday about how I mix my moisturizer with this foundation to create more or less coverage depending on my skintone at the time. It also makes this little tube of foundation last FOREVER. I've had my current one for over a year now. I bought a new one months ago thinking I was bound to run out any day and it just hasn't happened. That's when you know it's worth it to splurge a little. If I had stuck with my old Neutrogena foundation, I would have paid less ($15ish), but probably easily gone through 4 bottles in the last year. So technically I saved money. More upfront, less over the long run. I use the color Sand Beige.

New Year, New Beauty Routine: MAKEUP

Get It: BOBBI BROWN Creamy Concealer BEIGE, $23

I'm kind of meh about using concealer. I have dark circles, but I also am developing fine lines from smiling so hard. Not the worst reason I guess. I don't always wear it, but when I am feeling super worn out, I'll slide some of this on. It doesn't settle into my little eye wrinkles and brightens up well. Good stuff.

New Year, New Beauty Routine: MAKEUPGet it: Smashbox Cosmetics Smashbox Cosmetics Step-By-Step Contour Kit, $62

This, of everything I have added to my daily routine, has been the most significant to my overall look. Kim Kardashian is the queen of contour and has built an entire beauty movement based entirely on accentuating your positives and camouflaging your negatives. So, I wanted to be able to do that too. It just takes a little bit of knowledge and practice to learn how to contour. I watched a ton of YouTube vids on it, checked out Pinterest and followed the pointers included with the compact. You don't have to be a makeup artist to pull off the look. Such an easy all in one compact.

New Year, New Beauty Routine: MAKEUP

Get it: Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil - Blonde, $23

Filling in my brows is relatively new to my routine. I've been through a couple of brow pencils and this one definitely looks the most natural. Your brows frame your eyes and I feel like finish your whole look.

New Year, New Beauty Routine: MAKEUP

Get It: L'Oreal Paris Pencil Perfect Self-Advancing Eyeliner, Carbon Black, 0.01 Ounces, $6.99

I feel like eyeliner is the first thing you start experimenting with when you first start wearing makeup. Sometimes you can go your whole life using the same kind (my mom's been using Clinique since forever). But seriously, it's worth a shot to check this one out. I usually layer my smudgeable eye pencil with a liquid liner that stays all day, but I could wear this one a little smokier and by itself. And you can't beat the price.

New Year, New Beauty Routine: MAKEUP

Get It: L'Oreal Paris Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner, Carbon Black, 0.05 Ounces, $6.99

I say step out and try new things, but alas, I've been wearing this liquid liner on and off since I first started wearing winged eyeliner while dancing in the ballet in 2nd grade. This is one of those suggestions that aren't because it's new to my beauty routine, it's because if it isn't new to yours, it should be. It's seven dang dollars. I can't justify spending more money on something that has never, ever done me wrong at the lower pricepoint. Liquid liner can be scary, but I just got my mom to changeover recently. It's just so sexy to rock a little winged eye every once in a while, or in my case, every damn day.

New Year, New Beauty Routine: MAKEUP

Get It: Naked Basics Eyeshadow Makeup Palette, $45

The Naked palettes are amazing, however, I am not a huge eyeliner person. I like using neutrals here and there and adding a little color here and there. I still wanted to get in on the fun though! So, I got one of the basics palettes. I feel like this is my go-to over all of the other shadows I am carrying around. It complements my current makeup trends really well. Sometimes less is more in a palette ya know?

New Year, New Beauty Routine: MAKEUP

Get It: Too Faced Cosmetics, Shadow Insurance, 0.35 Ounce, $12

Speaking of eyeshadow, have trouble making it last all night? This stuff legit works.

New Year, New Beauty Routine: MAKEUP

Get It: Yves Saint Laurent 'Rouge Pur Couture' Lip ColorNet Wt. 0.13 Oz., $52.99

I KNOW! I know. I can't believe how much I paid for this either. Basically an arm and a leg. BUT. It's the best, best, best lipstick ever. I have tried so many reds trying to get one that works for me that doesn't make me feel yucky. This one smells like lavender, stay on all night, looks creamy on my lips and makes me feel like a movie star. It's single handed most noticeable thing I add to my face for a night out and my hands down favorite. I love my Marilyn Monroe lips!

Makeup should be fun and I have had a blast trying out some new things recently. I'll keep updating you guys on anything new I find! Don't forget to write me some suggestions of things to try!

Much Love, Lindsey

New Year, New Beauty Routine: SKINCARE

Lindsey Brooks Bell

I’m always on the lookout for new beauty products that can make my life simpler or make me feel prettier. I spend everyday with a camera in my face so making sure I look my best is important. I did a beauty video in June of last year, but have made some updates over the last few months that are seriously amazing. I have a ton of new suggestions so I’ve decided to split them up over a couple of posts. Today I am talking specifically about my skincare routine!

Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser

New Year, New Beauty Routine: SkincareGet it: Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser, 16 Ounces, $9-$64 (depending on size)

Let's start with the basis of my routine, this easy peezy one step cleanser. I use this in the morning and at night with my Clarisonic. Afterwards my skin feels clean and smooth. I feel like very simply, it cleans my face without any of the other crap. Pricey, but if you buy it in bulk you can save a little bit.

Clarisonic Mia 1

New Year, New Beauty Routine: SKINCAREGet it: Clarisonic Mia 1 Skin Cleansing System, White, $99

I've spoken a lot about my ever-growing love of my Clarisonic. This is a skin care necessity in my opinion. I had read a lot of conflicting views before I bought it that made me question spending the $130 (at the time) on this thing that cleans my face. The people who are vocal about their issues with Clarisonic are very vocal. Finally, after suffering multiple breakouts in early 2014 and seeing some of the comments on our YouTube vlogs (people are not nice sometimes), I was willing to try anything. I haven't looked back. I haven't had a single breakout since, and beyond that, I can count the number of blemishes that have developed on my face since start using this twice daily on one hand. There is a new version of device that just came out and I would love to try it, but will have to wait until my current Clarisonic bites the dust before spending upwards of $250 on a new one. Love, love, love this thing.

Karuna Brightening Face Mask

New Year, New Beauty Routine: SKINCAREGet it: Karuna Karma Kit, $28

I have grown to really love face masks. I usually try two or three different ones a month. Karuna makes different kinds, targeting different things that you want to change in your skin. I like them all. My skin always feels and looks amazing afterwards.

Olay Moisturizer

New Year, New Beauty Routine: SKINCAREGet it: Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer With Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 - Sensitive, 4 fl. Oz., $6.94

I have oily skin, but with patches of dry spots. I am starting to notice fine lines, but still, as recently as last year, had crazy issues with acne. It's been hard to find something that balances all that. This moisturizer works well with my skin, has SPF in it and is inexpensive. I mix this daily with my makeup base. Originally it was going on a little thick and looking cakey. So I mix it with a little moisturizer to make it go on smoother. It's like creating my own tinted moisturizer that I can decide how much coverage it has over my skin.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover

New Year, New Beauty Routine: SKINCAREGet it: Neutrogena Cosmetics Makeup Remover, 3.8 oz, $4.92

The majority of my life I've just washed my face at night, gotten off whatever makeup I could, woke up the next day, tried to get the rest and just put new stuff on over the old stuff. Full makeup removal was a step I just didn't have time for. Now, with having to vlog, sometimes before I have full face on, I would rather have a completely clean slate than be filming myself with raccoon eyes so I've started taking it off. I don't splurge on anything crazy. Neutrogena's Makeup Remover does the job and the price is right.

Skincare is something that is super personal. I like trying new products and I've found that it's sometimes best to try the pricier option to see the best results. Lucky for us though, there are also some great everyday options that save time and money. Hopefully, I've helped you find something new that works for you. Tomorrow we'll talk makeup!

Much Love, Lindsey

New Year, New Beauty Routine: HAIR

Lindsey Brooks Bell

I'm always on the lookout for new beauty products that can make my life simpler or make me feel prettier. I spend everyday with a camera in my face so making sure I look my best is important. I did a beauty video in June of last year, but have made some updates over the last few months that are seriously amazing. I have a ton of new suggestions so I've decided to split them up over a couple of posts. Today I am starting at the top with some of my new, favorite, must-have hair products!

Davine's Love Shampoo New Year, New Beauty Routine: HAIR Get it: Davines Love Smoothing Shampoo, 8.45 oz, $23.45

I have been blessed with some crazy hair. The positives are that I have a ton of hair and it holds a curl really well, but the negatives are that it is always frizzy. Add in a little Florida humidity and my hair is a recipe for disaster. Luckily, I found Davine's. This was suggested by my stylist at Apartment 12, Emily, and I have been using it since I dyed my hair pink in September. It's pricey, but makes such a difference during my routine it's been worth it.

Davine's Love Conditioner

New Year, New Beauty Routine: HAIR

Get it: Davines Conditioner, Love, Smooth, 8.45-Ounces, $27.20

The conditioner comes with all the amazingness of the shampoo and also smells amazing. Love this stuff.

VO5 Hot Oil Treatment

New Year, New Beauty Routine: HAIR

Get it: VO5 Hot Oil Treatment with Vitamin E, 1 oz, $3.54

VO5 Hot Oil Treatments are not new, but boy do they make a difference on the softness of your hair. I've started doing one of these a week. There's two treatments per box, so your paying less than $2 per treatment. Love that. Such an easy and cost effective addition to my hair routine

Pantene Pro-V Texturizing Styling Wax

New Year, New Beauty Routine: HAIR Get it: Pantene Pro-V Stylers Texturizing Sculpting Wax 1.7 Oz, $4.79

When the frizziness gets really bad, a little bit of wax does the trick to tame the fly aways. I've tried a number of different brands and have noticed no difference except for the price. That's why I go with this one, less than $5 and totally helps keep my hairstyle in tip top shape.

Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo

New Year, New Beauty Routine: HAIR Get it: Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray, Beautiful Clean, 5 Ounce, $8.65

We've spent a lot of time traveling in the past year. I did at least three full weeks of total of Warped Tour last summer! Traveling means that showers and time to shower are sometimes scarce. Luckily, this dry shampoo came into my life and saved me from being a big, greasy mess more than I'd like to admit. Just like hair waxes, I've tried a number of brands of dry shampoo, but have continued to use Suave because of the smell and price. This $9 bottle lasted a whole summer and seriously has the best scent ever. It's also good for those days that you want yesterday's style to go into today or when you sleep through your alarm and need to get moving quick!

Remington Silk Ceramic Elliptical Styling Wand

New Year, New Beauty Routine: HAIRGet it: Remington Ci96z1 Silk Ceramic Elliptical Waving Wand, $24.96

My last suggestion, and my favorite thing I have ever purchased for my hair routine, is this Remington wand. This is how I put the soft waves in my hair and is the easiest piece of hair equipment I have ever used. Because of this, and the price, this is a must have. This is one I have discussed before, but I cannot stress what a difference this makes to my life. Wanna know how to use it? Here's my video about how I do my beach waves.

There are some products that are worth shelling out the extra dough for, but luckily, there are also some really amazing ones that are easy on the pocketbook. Check back tomorrow for my favorite skin care items!

Much Love, Lindsey

Lustful Fridays #12

Happy Friday from Tampa International Airport! We are on our way to Boston for the wedding and I have a little time to write out some things I loved this week. Here goes nothin': alexander wang bag

First off, I found this lovely Alexander Wang bag on Eva Chen's Pinterest page. She's the editor of Lucky, has impeccable taste and takes some of the best Instagram pics ever. This bag is gorgeous. I think I am very minimalist at heart. I love neutrals and black. This might be my new aspire to bag. It's just hard to imagine spending the money on it. I guess I will just love it from afar for now <3

tribalclutch

This little guy is more in my budget. Despite all my minimalist tendencies, I also gravitate toward statement pieces that add something interesting to any outfit. That's why I love Mara Hoffman so much (more on that later). I could be wearing a neutral outfit and add a funky bag to give it a little more personality. I love that.

littletattootori praver tat

I've been thinking a lot lately about getting some new ink. I only have my lip tattoo so far and wouldn't mind getting a little something. I have my heart set on getting it on my forearm-ish area and have it say something mermaid-y. These are two little ones that I think are perfect. Danny's not too fond of the idea, but I'm still holding on to hope he'll come around. Either way, I can do what I want, it just would be more fun if he was into it too.

naked3

Gabi, who is my partner in crime at work, pointed out how awesome burgundys look with my new pink hair. She even talked me into buying a new sweater yesterday just because it matched my hair. In our defense, it does look awesome. But now I want to wear dark reds and burgundys everywhere. Coincidentally, Urban Decay came out with their Naked3 palette pretty recently and it is chock full of bronzey reds, rose golds and in general, perfect colors for my skin tone and new hair color. I don't usually wear a lot of eyeshadow, but when in Rome right? I should be getting my first Naked palette early next week.

isabel marant sneakers

So I know that the sneaker wedge has been around for a little while and that it's probably about time for it to go out of style, but I just love it. I think it's so stinking cute and should probably bite the bullet and grab a pair for myself. These are Isabel Marant and are definitely not cheap, but I bet I can find something similar pretty easily that I will love just as much. Great shoes for Fall right?

orangeleather

This orange leather skirt has my heart. I have no idea where it's from, but it's tangerine dream-y for sure. I don't wear a lot of leather because Florida. But this doesn't seem so bad. I'm going to definitely be searching the racks for this in the upcoming months.

mermaidpillow aloha pillowWe are in desperate need for some funky pillows for our new couch (I know, first world probs). I love the couch itself, but it came with all these whack-ass throw pillows that match the "theme" of the couch. I think they're ugly and plan on slowly switching them out for more fun ones, such as these mermaid-ish pillows. Hopefully Danny won't notice hehe.

janisbells

I am obsessed with these Janis Bells by Novella Royale. They're a cotton blend so super comfy and really stinkin' cute. We carry them in Shore, but they always sell out before I can get a pair. It won't happen this time though. As soon as the next round arrives, they're mine!

maraprintfavspring15

And last but not least, I put in Shore's order for Mara Hoffman's Spring Collection and I can't wait to get the shorter dress version of this jumpsuit. I love this print. Good job Mara!

Alright y'all, my plan for the weekend is to post as many pictures of Boston and wedding festivities as humanly possible. Keep an eye out and tell me what you think in the comments!

Much Love,

Lindsey
