A lot of people have been asking about trends for Spring so I wanted to do some posts about what I'm loving for Spring Break. I know it's still a little chilly (read: EFFING FREEZING) up North and across the majority of the Northern Hemisphere, but hopefully a little spring time fun will get you ready for warmer months. This post is all about neutral spring dresses and rompers. Click the images to see where you can buy them. Here's some of my favorites:
Free People Lace Trim Trapeze Dress, $88
I wear this dress all the time. Lately I've been using it as a cover-up over my swimsuits, but the first time I wore it over a nude slip with booties. It's one of those dresses that can be worn to dinner or the beach or whatever. Cute piece.
ASTR Lace Trim Shirt Dress, $58
I love the shift dress silhouette. It's comfy, and is a great transitional piece. It can be dressed up or down depending on adding jewelry and shoes. Plus, I love the ASTR line. It's cute pieces, at a more affordable price.
Topshop Raw Edge Cutout Body-Con Dress, $70
I saw this dress in person and didn't buy it because I was running through the mall in a hurry, and I super regret it. It's made of a scuba material that is flattering, holds you in and reminds me of a swimsuit. It's pretty much a no brainer for a girl who loves bikinis so much.
Painted Threads Floral Lace Skater Dress, $48
Obviously I'm pretty into the Boho look for Spring. This dress is no different. I like it's girly cut and lace, as well as it's ability, like a couple of others on this list, to transition easily between casual and dressy. Wear it with flat sandals, stud earrings and a hobo bag and it's casual. Wear it with some tall, nude wedges, statement necklace and funky clutch and it's dressy.
James Perse Strpied Shirt Dress, $245
James Perse's clothing is pricey, but no one does fabrics better than him. This dress is like your boyfriend's shirt that you stole and wore home during a walk of shame, but it actually fits and looks amazing. I only have a couple of his shirts, but I've had one of them for literally a decade. His stuff lasts forever.
RVCA 'Sucker Punch' Swing Dress, $50
I love this style. Super casual and girly. We carry this line at Shore and everything always sells out so quickly. Just easy, go-to pieces.
Dress the Population 'Jamie' Sequin Shift Dress, $168
After all the casual dresses, I have to have at least one sequin number. This shift dress would be comfortable for a Spring or Summer wedding and would be fun for a date night too. I am all about making sequins work for everyday. I keep seeing sequin dresses like this all over Pinterest, so I'm happy to see them transitioning to retailers where I can actually buy one!
I'm not saying you have to go out buy there from Nordstrom. You can take the ideas and look for similar styles where you shop. I'm just making it easy in case you want to splurge a little. Let me know what you guys think!
Much Love, Lindsey
